The Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Vue transmitters send data to the console every 2 1/2 seconds. Highly variable conditions (such as wind speed and direction) are updated with each packet, while less variable conditions are updated every 10 seconds. With most competing stations, the update interval is much longer: 30 seconds, or even up to 3 minutes. This may not seem important, but try watching the wind gust, or the rain suddenly come pouring down. It's very disconcerting to look out the window, see something happen weather-wise, and not see it reflected on the console right away.
